Photos: Nigerian Army Women’s Corps takes it sensitisation visit to 1 Division and Nigerian Defence Academy


In an effort to deepen the understanding and appreciate the efforts of the female troops, their command responsibilities and contributions to national security, the Nigerian Army Women’s Corps (NAWC) embarked on a sensitization visit to 1 Division Nigerian Army and Nigerian Defence Academy in Kaduna.

Delivering the lecture on behalf of the Commander NAWC Colonel DE Adamu, the Chief of Staff NAWC Colonel BS Omoge briefed the female participants on the History of the Corps, Roles and Responsibilities, Deployment of NAWC Personnel as well as the Leadership Opportunities. She then rounded up by emphasizing the need for female soldiers to be confident, discipline and professional in the discharge of their constitutional duties. 

This is aimed at achieving the mission of the Corps which is “To Administer and Train Professional Female Personnel to Support the NA Operational Engagements Within a Joint Environment in the Defence of Nigeria”.
