Commission Secretary Visits EFCC Lagos Zonal Command, Charges Staff on Hard work

The new Secretary of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mr. George Abang Ekpungu, on Thursday 18th November 2021, paid a working visit to the Lagos Command of the Commission.

The Secretary, who was received by the Zonal Commander, Ahmed Ghali, and management staff of the Command, expressed his delight visiting the Lagos office.
“I am delighted to be with you this afternoon. In fact, I am particularly enthused by your swift response to assemble to receive me at a very short notice.”
“In line with the vision of the incumbent Chairman of the Commission, Mr. Abdulrasheed Bawa, to position the Commission as the leading law enforcement agency in the country, we are all here to support him to achieve more.
“In fact, the key performance indicators from March this year have shown that the Commission has recorded unprecedented feats in the pursuit of her mandate.
“We are here on facility tour. As a way of leading and showing the way, it is imperative we interact with you.”
He charged the staff to work hard in the most honest way to enhance the integrity of the Commission and set the best standards.
Ekpungu, who expressed satisfaction with the leadership style of Ghali, said: “The way you introduced the management staff shows that you have a cordial working relationship with them.
“I would, therefore, like to encourage you, once again, to support the leadership of the Commission so that we can collectively achieve the new vision and mission.”
