NIS Seeks Synergy and Collaboration with EFCC

The Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, Benue Command, has pledged greater synergy and collaboration with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Speaking during a courtesy visit to the Makurdi Zonal Command of the EFCC on Thursday, October 21, 2021, the Comptroller, Benue State Command of NIS, Obianuju Angela Elo-Okoye, said she was at the Commission, “to extends my hands of fellowship to you and your staff and solicit for a very good and cordial working relationship and collaboration. It is very important that we work together as a team so that we will be able to ‘scratch each other’s back in times of need and challenges, as well as rejoice with each other in times of celebration.
“I must appreciate and commend the EFCC because your organization has done so much to check the menace of money laundering and other financial crimes”.
In his remarks, the Commander of the Makurdi Zonal Command of the EFCC, Friday Ebelo expressed gratitude for the visit and assured of improved EFCC collaboration with the NIS.
Ebelo stated that, with adequate information sharing, the task of law enforcement would become easier, “I want to thank Comptroller General for the robust relationship we have had over a years in area of watch list”, he said.
