The President Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association (NAOWA) Mrs Salamatu Faruk Yahaya laid foundation for Six blocks of class rooms and two staff office for nursery and primary school at Giginya barracks Sokoto on 30 August 2021.
She also donated food items to widows of Giginya Barracks and women of Luga village in Dange Shuni Local Government.
As part of her activities in 8 Division, the NAOWA President also paid courtesy visit to the General Officer Commanding 8 Division/ Commander Joint Task Force (Northwest) operation HADARIN DAJI Maj General Uwem U Bassey, she visit the Division Hospital and present relief materials and cash to patients.
Additionally, she interacted with soldier’s families and widows to enable her know their immediate needs and address it accordingly.
In the same vein, Mrs Salamatu Faruk Yahaya paid courtesy visit to the Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal and his wife.
NAOWA President and her entourage later proceeded to visit the Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence Alhaji (Dr) Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III.
