We are committed to developing Imo State, says Uzodimma

Governor Hope Uzodimma has continued to speak on the development and policies being pursued by his Government.

In continuation of his synod speech at the Anglican dioceses of Egbu 9th synod, the Governor used the opportunity to intimate NDI-IMO of some of the ongoing reforms in the State.

This include the automated payroll scheme which he said has helped to eliminate the activities of ungodly people.

He also said that the system has helped the state continue to make savings which is more than two billion Naira to date.

He added that anyone who has not received their salary to date are either those who have issues with their data or those who never thought that the system will work.

He apologized for those who have genuinely suffered some hardship but assured them that not only are their monies intact but the end of the process will indeed justify the means.

In the area of infrastructure, the Governor maintained that in the spirit of continuity he gave contractors employed before his emergence, the opportunity to continue their work however many absconded and abandoned their project sites.

He assured Imolites that every task payer’s money with such contractors will be recovered and in no distant time construction of roads and other infrastructures will commence in all parts of the state.

He however added that despite their fight to truncate development some roads have undergone rehabilitation.

He maintained that he has a pact with not just God but Ndi Imo to bring development and address those things that will add value to the society.
