THE REFORM AUDACITY OF HOPE: THE GIANT STRIDES OF HOPE UZODIMMA IN IMO CIVIL SERVICE



In years past, the Imo Civil service Commission has long been relegated to the background by previous Administrations.

His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodimma on assumption visited the State Secretariat on the 29th January 2020. At his visit, he stated that the welfare of the Civil servants are paramount to him, promising to bring back the lost Glory of the Imo Civil service.

In line with these promises and the 5 point agenda for Imo State which is the welfare of Civil servants, reformed and virality of Imo state Civil service, he is fulfilling his promise to the Civil servants.

The Shared Prosperity Governor has made good his promise in many ways:
The re-roofing of the 10 blocks of the State Secretariat which has been of bad shape and abandoned for many years.

In the fulfillment of his promise to provide clean drinking water, Governor Uzodimma refurbished the central Borehole at the State Secretariat.

In the provision of power, His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodimma repaired the 4 gigantic generators to a working state which serves provides light to all offices at the State Secretariat.

Permanent secretaries in Imo State since 2013 were never given official cars but to ease their work and duties to Imo people, the Shared Prosperity Governor Uzodimma, in 2 months of his assumption in position, gave brand new vehicles to all the permanent secretaries in the State and also gave the Head of Service, a brand New SUV.

Governor Uzodimma, in his knowledge and wisdom of Civil service and Nation Building called for workshop that ran for 6 weeks with 30 sessions to revive the Imo civil service that has gone contuse for many years.

The workshop was done for all Political appointees, permanent secretaries and civil servants from grade level 7 to 17.

The Imo state Civil servants fully trained in character and work ethics are set for high quality service delivery to all Imolites.

His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodimma has maintained the payment of salary of Civil servants since his assumption of office.

In addition to the giant strides of the 3R Government Agenda, Governor Uzodimma introduced new payroll system that has removed corruption and introduced Innovation.

Civil servants counting their blessings just got another positive shocker as Governor  Uzodimma Unveils 30 free Mass Transit Buses to convey Civil servants to work and back in this current fuel price hike.

Indeed, Imo Civil Service Adila Mma!, all thanks to God for Hope in Imo State.
