Imo Government sets up inter-religious committee to tackle religious disagreements

Governor Hope Uzodimma has set up an inter-religious committee to handle any religious disagreement on behalf of the Government. 

The Governor set up the committee when he received a join delegation of the leadership of the christian association of Nigeria and the chief Iman and other inter-religious groups. 

The Governor expressed concern over the level of hate and disagreement though very silent and covet in nature.

He warned that any one who hides under any religious guise to perpetuate crime will be brought to book. 

He also warned that he will not tolerate self help of any kind as He is committed to protecting the lives and properties of all Imolites.

He also promised to encourage and restore holy pilgrimages for both the christians and muslims in the state .

He however urged all Imolites to be tolerant and respect each others right to worship.
