Imo PDP chieftain resigns

The state Assistant Financial Secretary of the Imo State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Maximian Okedu, on Monday has resigned.

Okedu, in his letter in Owerri, said he resigned because of “personal coupled with pressures from friends and family members.”

He left days after the state Publicity Secretary, Damian Opara and chairman, Charles Ezekwem,resigned.

Sources told newsmen the multiple resignation of the state officials is creating panic among members of PDP in the state.

The source said: “We don’t know what is happening and why our members of our state executives are resigning. It was our state chairman, followed by the state publicity secretary and now the assistant Financial Secretary, have resigned.”
