Governor Ganduje announces lockdown in Kano

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has announced the complete lockdown of the state, for one week with effect from Thursday , 16, April, 2020.

Ganduje made this announcement during a meeting with religious leaders this evening at the Government House.

According to him,this is a complete lockdown of the state, where there is no market, no social activities, no mosque, no Church and people should stay at home.

He urged residents to cooperate and support this decision, as a measure to prevent the spread of this dreaded COVID-19 in the state.
