PDP aspirant rejects elders’ consensus candidacy

A chairmanship aspirant in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, Dr. Tope Aluko, has rejected the consensus candidacy arrangement mooted by some elders of the party for the coming congress slated for April 2.

He vowed to oppose the consensus candidature being mooted by factional elders and stakeholders in caucus of the party, saying every contender must be ready to test his popularity at the congress.

The PDP elders last Saturday adopted and endorsed Hon. Kolawole, who is being prodded by former Governor Ayodele Fayose for the plum seat.
