COVID-19: Buhari works with lean schedule on Wednesday

President Muhammadu Buhari reportedly resumed work in his office at the State House on Wednesday, receiving no visitors.

Also, the suspension of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, which was announced on Monday by the Boss Mustapha-led Presidential Task Force on the Control of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic, took effect from Wednesday.

A Presidency source, who spoke under conditions of anonymity on Wednesday, also said security operatives at the Presidential Villa paid extra attention to the instruction to cut down on the number of persons admitted into the premises of the Number One house.

According to him, the security teams on duty at the various points for checks were seen politely turning those not authorized to be at the State House back.

It would be recalled that the State House, on Tuesday, scaled-down on the number of personnel working in the Villa in the meantime, a step reportedly taken in adherence to the instruction of the PTF-COVID-19.

Speaking about President Buhari, the source said though he did not know the exact time he resumed office on Wednesday, he said he was still in the office as at 2:30pm, adding, however, that he had not received any government official for briefing for the day.
