Abia Assembly passes 2020 Appropriation Bill into law

Members of the Abia House of Assembly on Tuesday passed the 2020 Appropriation Bill, 2019 into Law.

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu on November, 18 presented the 2020 Budget to the Assembly for consideration.

The 7th Assembly Speaker Rt.Hon. Chinedum E. Orji had on December 10 during the House plenary assured Abians that the lawmakers will expedite legislative action and ensure the passage of the budget before the end of the year.

The House, during Plenary on Tuesday, considered the report presented by the Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriation Rt.Hon.Kennedy Njoku and subsequently passed the 2020 Appropriation Bill into Law.

“The 2020 Abia State of Nigeria Appropriation Law shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st Day of January 2020” the House resolved.
