The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted thunderstorms and rains for Friday.
NiMet`s weather outlook released on Thursday in Abuja predicted partly cloudy condition over Northern states with chances of thunderstorms over Sokoto, Katsina, Zamfara and Kano axis in the morning hours.
According to it, thunderstorms are to prevail over the North Eastern part of the country especially in places like Maiduguri, Potiskum, Dutse and Nguru axis in the afternoon/evening hours.
The agency envisaged the region`s day and night temperatures to be from 30 to 33 degree Celsius and 21 to 23 degree Celsius respectively.
“ For Central states, Cloudy conditions should prevail with prospect of thunderstorms over the entire region during the afternoon/evening period.
“Day and night temperatures are expected to be 20 to 31`degree Celsius and 20 to 22 degree Celsius respectively, except Jos to be 18 to 26 degree Celsius,“ it said.
NiMet forecast cloudy morning with chances of thunderstorms and rains over the coastal region of Southern states.
It predicted thunderstorm over the entire region later in the day with day and night temperatures of 29 to 30 degree Celsius and 21 to 23 degree Celsius respectively.
