The Special Adviser to the Kogi State Governor on Job Creation and SMEs, Hon. Danladi Sulaiman Aguye has said that the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Engr. Musa Wada will suffer a ‘bloodied nose’ in next month’s governorship election in the state.
The Kogi All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain asserted that Wada is no match for Governor Yahaya Bello, and will suffer defeat at the poll.
Speaking with newsmen shortly after the inauguration of the Lokoja Local Government Bello-Onoja Campaign Council on Wednesday, in capital, Aguye said that while the governor has continued to use his position in and out of office to better the lives of the people, Wada has not impacted on lives outside of his immediate circle.
According to him: “In this race, there is only one gladiator and that gladiator is the current Governor. So, there is no contender. Wada by saying that this is the toughest election in the history of Kogi, yes, toughest for him, certainly not for the governor.
“As far as I’m concerned, this will be the easiest election in the history of Kogi as far as Governor Yahaya Bello and the APC is concerned; he (Wada) will not even win Dekina (his LG), much less Ankpa or Idah, and then come to Bassa.
“We will ensure we do whatever we can. This will be the first and last of Wada’s outing, and he will suffer a bloodied nose by the grace of God.”
He said that Bello has done more than previous administrations within three years.
“He has been able to block all loopholes through which workers salaries were being siphoned by few people.
“All incomes generated by revenue officers, were not saved for the raining day by the previous PDP government. But under Bello the state revenue base has increased drastically,” he stressed.
