Unknown gunmen abduct businessman in Ekiti

Gunmen on Tuesday reportedly abducted a businessman simply identified as Sina in Ipoti-Ekiti in Ijero local government area of Ekiti state.

According to a source, the incident happened at about 10pm on Sunday at his residence located at the heart of the  town.

Sina was said to have been kidnapped as he made to enter his residence after returning from the day’s business.

It was gathered that the kidnappers pointed guns and ordered him to come out from his vehicle before he was whisked away to unknown destination.

The sources said the abductors had not contacted his family and that the matter had been reported to the police.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Caleb Ikechukwu said he was not aware of the abduction.
