Bayelsa APC chieftain urges PDP to support Buhari

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and member of the Presidential Campaign Council, Chief Godknows Powell, has called on the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to join President Muhammadu Buhari in rebuilding and repositioning the country.

Powell, who hails Buhari’s victory at the presidential election petition tribunal, advised the PDP to stop further litigation and identify with Buhari’s zeal in nation-building.

The party chief in a statement in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, described the Buhari’s victory at the tribunal as an eloquent testimony of his goodwill.

He said the judgement was a reflection of the desires of Nigerians, who renewed the President’s mandate at the last election, to enable him sustain and consolidate good governance in the country.

He said: “I enjoin the Opposition People’s Democratic Party to demonstrate a sense of statesmanship in partaking in the tedious task of building and repositioning Nigeria on the corridor of prosperity.

“President Buhari is a patriot that has unanimously expressed his quest to develop Nigeria and it is only apt that sundry Nigerians irrespective of their ethno- religious creed make supplication and support Mr. President Buhari to take Nigeria to an Eldorado”.

Powell further called on the people of Bayelsa and Niger Deltan to show love to the President by remaining faithful to the APC and its progressive ideals.

The chieftain particularly urged Bayelsans to support and vote the APC and its candidate in the forthcoming, November 16 gubernatorial election.
