Burnley manager Sean Dyche has told reporters that a season-long loan for Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater is a “maybe”, with an agreement yet to be reached.

Meanwhile, midfielder Grady Diangana has sealed a season-long loan switch to Championship (second-tier) side West Bromwich Albion from West Ham United.

1206 WEST HAM BOSS PELLEGRINI HAPPY WITH SQUAD

West Ham United boss Manuel Pellegrini said he was pleased to have finalised his squad for the new season after signing Swiss international Albian Ajeti from FC Basel on Thursday.

“I’m happy because we have completed the squad in the way we wanted. We have two players in each position and the best way is to have competition. We have done what we needed,” Pellegrini told a news conference.

Ajeti is the second striker recruited by West Ham in the close season following record signing Sebastien Haller and will also compete with the likes of Javier Hernandez and Michail Antonio to lead the attack.

1011 NEWCASTLE SIGN DEFENDER KRAFTH FROM AMIENS

Newcastle United have signed Sweden international defender Emil Krafth from French Ligue 1 side Amiens on an initial four-year contract for a reported fee of 5 million pounds.

Krafth is Newcastle’s fourth signing of the close season following Joelinton, Jetro Willems and Allan Saint-Maximin.

Southampton midfielder Nathan Redmond has committed his future to the club by signing a new contract up to 2023. The 25-year-old scored nine times in the last six months of the 2018-19 campaign to be named Southampton’s player of the season.

Sampdoria’s Belgian midfielder Dennis Praet has arrived at Leicester City’s training complex ahead of a potential switch for 18 million pounds, Sky Sports reported.

Celtic defender Kieran Tierney is in London for a medical ahead of a potential move to Arsenal, British media reported.
The left back is set to sign a five-year contract if the deal goes through and will cost 25 million pounds, making him the most expensive Scottish player in history.

West Ham United have signed Swiss international striker Albian Ajeti from FC Basel for what British media said was a fee of around 8 million pounds.
West Ham said the 22-year-old had signed an initial four-year deal with the option to extend for two more years. He becomes the club’s sixth new arrival.

0700 ARSENAL AGREE TO BUY DAVID LUIZ FROM CHELSEA

Arsenal have agreed to buy centre back David Luiz from London rivals Chelsea for 8 million pounds, the BBC reported. Luiz, 32, is set to sign a two-year contract and will have a medical later in the day.

Arsenal sold centre back Laurent Koscielny to French Ligue 1 side Girondins Bordeaux on Tuesday.

0615 MAN UTD AGREE LUKAKU DEAL WITH INTER

Manchester United have agreed a 73 million pound deal with Inter Milan for the transfer of striker Romelu Lukaku to the Serie A club, according to Sky Sports.

The Belgium international has arrived in Italy for a medical.

0540 SPURS AGREE SESSEGNON DEAL WITH FULHAM

Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a deal worth an initial 25 million pounds ($30.40 million) with Fulham for their England under-21 left-back Ryan Sessegnon, with Spurs midfielder Josh Onomah moving the other way, the BBC has reported.

Sessegnon is scheduled to have a medical at Tottenham later in the day, and the fee for the 19-year-old could rise to 30 million pounds.
