Police probe armed intruder report at Turk cleric’s compound

Pennsylvania State Police were at the rural compound of Fethullah Gulen, the U.S.-based Muslim cleric accused by Turkey of instigating a failed 2016 coup, on Wednesday to investigate an unspecified incident, local media reported.

Police left a little while later, the WNEP local news channel reported. A security guard at the compound had fired a warning shot at a suspected armed intruder who then fled, a spokesman for Gulen said. No one is believed to be injured, the spokesman said.
