The trio have been lined up to take to the stage at London’s The O2 in February for the annual music extravaganza, where all three artists are also expected to feature heavily in the prize giving.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Show chiefs were desperate to secure Ed, Sam and Stormzy as they’re the biggest names in UK music right now.
“The combined record and streaming figures are insane and the booking is bound to add numbers on the viewing figures too.
“It’s shaping up to be a top night.”
In addition to Stormzy, Ed and Sam, rising star Dua Lipa – who is expected to be shortlisted for the Best British Female award – will also be performing at the Mastercard-sponsored ceremony.
The 2017 BRIT Awards saw Stormzy and Ed perform together, with the grime star joining his pal for a remix of the 26-year-old singer’s hit single ‘Shape Of You’.
The news of the performers comes after it was recently announced Jack Whitehall will host the ceremony on 21 February.
Past hosts have included Russell Brand, The Osbourne family, Sir Elton John and infamously former Page 3 girl Samantha Fox with Mick Fleetwood in 1989.
James Corden won critical acclaim for his hosting skills in 2011 and is the only person to have hosted the ceremony five times, including his joint-hosting with Mat Horne and Kylie Minogue in 2009.
R&B singer Jorja Smith has already been announced as the winner of the Critics’ Choice prize, which recognises emerging talent and in the past has gone to the likes of Adele, Ellie Goulding and Sam Smith.
The 2018 Brit statuettes will be designed by artist Anish Kapoor.
