LASU must adhere to rule of law, due process – VC

Vice-Chancellor, Lagos State University (LASU), Prof. Olanrewaju Fagbohun, has said that institution would remain committed to the rule of law, due process and transparency.

“It seems we are stepping on toes but we will not say because we want peace to reign, we allow the rule of law to be trampled on.

“Not even the vice-chancellor is above the law; that is why no erring member will go unpunished,” Fagbohun said in Lagos on Saturday.

The vice-chancellor spoke at a parley with members of the Education Writers Association of Nigeria (EWAN).

Fagbohun said that the peace and progress enjoyed in the university resulted from teamwork by LASU management, staff, students and other stakeholders.

He said that while many of the university’s staff members had totally keyed into the current administration transformation agenda, others were gradually doing so.
