The government of the United Kingdom and the European Commission began Brexit negotiations in Brussels on Monday.
Though UK Prime Minister Theresa May has not yet got a functioning government set up after last week’s general election, the talks weren’t postponed, as some observers had expected.
The negotiations are bound to be pretty tough. One of the most important issues is the rights of EU nationals remaining in the UK after Brexit (and the other way around).
