A teacher lost her job after telling her student that she did not have sex in six years before having sex with him at her home, according to police Idaho.
Sandpoint police said that they have arrested 47-year-old Nichole Thiel, after being accused of having sex with her 16-year-old student.
Thiel has been charged with one count of sexual battery. The Coeur d’Alene Charter Academy has placed Thiel on leave, pending the outcome of the case.
She could be jailed for up to 25 years if convicted
According to the police investigation, Thiel met the boy while she was teaching at the Lake Pend Oreille High School. One day, Thiel was distraught and the boy tried to console her.
Thiel then asked him for a hug and she kissed him. In another incident, Thiel picked up the boy and took him to her apartment.
She then told the boy that she did not have sex in six years and offered to give him a back rub. They then had sex. Thiel later offered to write a letter of recommendation for the boy to get him into college.
