Police in Florida, have arrested two men and a woman for raping a girl.
The Department of Children and Families contacted detective Amanda Wallace of the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office, to investigate a possible sexual battery.
During the investigation, Detective Wallace learned that one of the suspects is the girl’s custodian, Henry Rush. He is registered as a sexual offender.
Police learned that Rush’s girlfriend, Amanda Wert, had paid their neighbor, James Mort, who is a registered sexual predator, to destroy evidence from their computer.
Detectives contacted Mort, and during the interview, he admitted to destroying the computer evidence at the request of Wert.
The computer allegedly contained child pornography as well as other criminal evidence. Mort further confessed to committing sexual acts along with Rush and Wert on the child.
Rush was arrested on four counts of incest, sexual battery by custodian on a victim who is over 12 years of age under 18 years of age, sexual battery involving multiple perpetrators, and tampering with evidence involving a felony proceeding.
Rush is being held in the Bradford County Jail without bond.
Wert was charged with inducing a child less than 18 years of age to engage in a sexual performance, child neglect and tampering with evidence.
She is being held in the Bradford County Jail, with a bond of $500,000.
Mort was charged with four counts of sexual battery on persons under 18 years of age, tampering with evidence and sexual battery involving multiple perpetrators. Mort is also being held without bond.
