A woman of California, was arrested after being accused of posting advertisements on Craigslist, asking men to rape her former boyfriend’s new wife.

However, three months after her arrest, all charges against her were dropped and her former boyfriend’s wife, who claimed to be the victim, was arrested.

The ordeal began when 31-year-old Angela Diaz, who is the wife of a U.S. Marshal, filed a complaint with police, saying that two men came to her home and attempted to rape her.

The men told Diaz that they were responding to her Craigslist ad, in which she was seeking men to rape her as part of a fantasy.

Diaz told police that her husband’s former girlfriend Michelle Hadley of Ontario, was the one who posted the ads to Craigslist.

Hadley was arrested, and she was held for three months in prison before being exonerated.

Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas said in a press release that Diaz was arrested and that “Hadley is an innocent victim of a diabolical scheme.”

Rackauckas said that Diaz went to great lengths to frame Hadley by posing as her in emails and on Craigslist.

However, the scene was uncovered by detectives and Diaz was arrested.

She was charged with kidnapping, false imprisonment, falsely reporting crimes, perjury, grand theft and forgery among other charges. She was arrested in Phoenix, Arizona, where she is awaiting extradition.
