Angry man breaks girlfriend’s nose in front of his mother after being accused of cheating

A man who was angry that his girlfriend accused him of cheating, punched her in the face, according to police in the United Kingdom.

Now, 30-year-old Gordon McCarroll of Welwyn Garden City, has been sentenced to serve 12 months in prison after being convicted of causing grievous bodily (GBH).

According to the criminal complaint, McCarroll fought with his girlfriend in the bedroom of his mother’s home after drinking heavily at a family meal.

The woman suddenly felt a forceful punch to her face and heard a crunch. She was knocked back by the force of the punch, and her nose started to bleed heavily.

The woman suffered a nasal bone fracture, which needed an operation, as well as bruising. The couple had been in a relationship for 2 years before the attack.

McCarroll has previous convictions for resisting a constable and wounding a man with a knife for which he was jailed for 18 months.

McCarroll told the court that he was remorseful for what happened. Judge Andrew Bright issued a restraining order, banning McCarroll from contacting the woman.
