A teenager of the United Kingdom, was furious when he learned that his mother fell in love with his friend.
South Yorkshire police said that 18-year-old Lucas Bigley, stabbed his friend, 19-year-old Matthew Wilson.
The Hull Crown Court heard how Bigley became outraged when he learned that his mother was romantically involved with Wilson.
His “anger and frustration” boiled over and he repeatedly stabbed the victim.
Bigley was found guilty of murder and he was sentenced to life in prison, with a minimum of 22 years before being eligible for parole.
Wilson’s family said that they are happy with the sentence for their son’s killer.
“We too have been handed a life sentence,” they said about the loss of their son. “While we regard the sentence as fair, no sentence will ever bring Matt back to us,” they added.
