Man takes jellyfish to police station to report murder after mistaking it for dead woman’s breast implant

Jellyfish mistaken for breast implant

A man rushed over to a police station and handed over a bag what he thought contained a breast implant, according to police in Australia.

Sunshine Coast police said that the man, who was not identified, found the item while on a beach to enjoy the water and sun.

The man feared that the breast implant type object was evidence of a murder or a drowning. He put on gloves and carefully bagged the item in order not to contaminate the breast implant.

He headed over to the nearest police station and handed over his find. Police performed tests, which revealed that the breast implant was a blubber jellyfish.

Police believe that the jellyfish was mistaken for a breast implant because its tentacles were missing, probably due to being eaten by another fish or strong waves.
