Police in California, have launched an investigation after a mother of four children went missing.
The woman was last seen exiting a casino with her bigamist husband one month ago.
30-year-old Cecelia Bravo Cabrera was very active on social media, but since her disappearance, there was no activity on her account, leading police to believe that she was killed.
Police began investigating Cabrera’s husband Francisco Valdivia, 37, who was recently released from prison after serving a 90-day sentence for cultivating marijuana.
During their investigation, police found that Valdivia was growing marijuana plants in different locations.
They also discovered that Valdivia was married to another woman. He and his first wife Rosalina Lopez, 39, who are from Mexico, got married in 2007, and they came to the United States illegally.
Valdivia then married Cabrera in order to get a Green Card.
According to police, Cabrera knew that Valdivia married her so he can get a Green Card.
She received threats from Valdivia and his wife, warning her not to divorce him so not to be deported back to his country.
Although Cabrera was not found, police said that they have enough evidence implicating the Mexican couple. Both are being held without bail.
