Beyonce is being sued for using a logo without permission

The superstar is being sued for using Jay Z’s Roc-A-Fella Records logo in one of her music videos without permission

Beyonce is being sued for using her husband Jay Z’s Roc-A-Fella Records logo in her video for ‘Drunk In Love’ allegedly without permission.

Artist Dwayne Walker maintains he was hired to create the logo back in 1995 and he previously brought a lawsuit against rapper Jay Z, his former business partner Damon Dash and executives at Universal Music Group back in 2012 requesting $7 million in unpaid royalties.

That claim was dismissed this September after Dwayne couldn’t prove his case and now his attention has turned to Beyonce.

In legal papers seen by TMZ, Dwayne’s new legal case states that the R&B superstar never asked him for permission to prominently display the logo in the 2013 promo.

Dwayne is requesting the courts stop the video from being aired and he wants a share of profits made from the promo in the years since it was released.

In the video there is a quick shot in which Jay Z is seen wearing a diamond-studded pendant which features the logo, however, he is not named in the lawsuit.
