10-year-old girl suffers cardiac arrest and dies on plane while flying from Toronto to London

Passengers on a flight from Canada to the United Kingdom, were shocked to see a young girl falling unconscious.

The incident unfolded on Saturday, after the Air Canada flight took off from Toronto around 1:00 p.m.

The 10-year-old girl was traveling with three adult siblings when she began to feel ill. Her condition quickly deteriorated and she fell unconscious.

Three medical professionals were on board Flight AC-868 from Toronto to London. They tried to revive the girl who suffered from cardiac arrest.

The pilot requested an emergency landing at the Shannon Airport in Ireland.

An ambulance waited at the airport, and the girl was rushed to the University Hospital Limerick, where she was pronounced dead.

A coroner will determine the cause of death. Police in Ireland and Canada have launched separate investigations into the incident.
