A woman became a homeowner after sweet talking 20 men into buying her iPhones.
The woman of Shenzhen, China, is being praised by some people while being criticized by many others.
A blogger who uses the name Proud Qiaoba, revealed that her coworker managed to buy a home after selling the 20 iPhones.
The woman was “dating” 20 different men and she persuaded all 20 boyfriends to buy her an iPhone 7.
Qiaoba said that her coworker then took the iPhones and resold them to a cellphone recycling business named Hui Shou Bao.
She received close to $18,000 for the iPhones. The woman used the money as a down payment on a house in a rural area.
“Everyone in the office is talking about this now,” Proud Qiaoba wrote. “Who knows what the 20 boyfriends are thinking now that this news has been made public.”
Hui Shou Bao confirmed that the company bought 20 iPhones from a female customer in October, and paid about $890 per phone.
A representative of Hui Shou Bao, said that the woman declined to be interviewed. She allegedly told the company that her “daily life has been affected” since her story went public on social media.
