Two brothers were jailed after drugging their parents before beating them and trying to kill them.

Yvonne and Zachary Ervin, both 51, of Gwinnett County, Georgia, suffered a bloody beating at the hands of their two sons.

Cameron Ervin, 19, and his brother Christopher, 23, drugged their parents with Xanax before severely beating them.

They stabbed their father more than 10 times. Zachary also suffered a severe head injury after he was hit with a shotgun.

The mother’s face was left brutally battered after being beaten and punched in the face. The sons then set their home on fire to burn their parents alive. However, their mother managed to call for help.

Cameron, 17, left, and Christopher Ervin, 22.

In court, the couple told the judge that they forgave their children for the horrific suffering they were put through and they asked the judge to show leniency.

The prosecutor asked the judge to hand down a 50 year sentence for each of the men after they pleaded guilty to 13 charges against them, including kidnapping, aggravated assault and armed robbery.

The parents, who were in the courtroom as their sons apologized for their actions, asked the judge to give them 10 years in prison.

However, the judge sentenced each of them to 20 years in prison with 30 years of probation to follow.
