T.I. blasts Lil Wayne for distancing himself from Black Lives Matter movement, calls his comments ‘absolutely unacceptable’

Lil Wayne’s critical comments about Black Lives Matter struck a major sour note with another top-flight rapper.

Hip-hop star T.I. blasted the “Lollipop” rapper and deemed his controversial remarks “unacceptable” three days after Wayne said he doesn’t feel connected to the movement since it has “nothing to do with” him.

“U TRIPPING!!!! I don’t know what you goin thru, or what you are attempting to avoid but this … is absolutely unacceptable!” T.I. began in a long-winded Instagram missive directed at his fellow rapper on Saturday.

“You’re disrespecting yourself, bringing shame on your family name & tarnishing your legacy.”

Wayne, 33, sparked outrage last week after he distanced himself from the movement by seeming to suggest in an interview on ABC’s “Nightline” that he’s not affected by Black Lives Matter due to his celebrity status.

“I am a young, black, rich m—-rf—er,” he told host Linsey Davis. “If that don’t let you know that America understand black m—-rf—ers matter these days, I don’t know what it is.”

The rapper, who got visibly more irritated as the interview wore on, also opined that the horrific wave of police shootings of African-Americans shouldn’t all be grouped together and given the Black Lives Matter label.

Wayne later apologized, saying he was agitated by other questions by the interviewer regarding his daughter.

But that mea culpa apparently wasn’t enough for T.I., who condemned the “How to Love” rapper for passing on a chance to step up as a leader.

“You have sons & a daughter that depend upon your leadership,” he continued in his Instagram post. “Bro if you don’t stand for something out here, all the money, jewelry, cars, mansions bandannas & hit records don’t mean (anything)!”

“Our people are being oppressed!!! We are being hunted, captured & slaughtered out here daily!!!” he added. “You have to get outta that bubble that you’ve been living in & get out here & educate yourself on what’s going on around US!!!”

Wayne’s team attempted to block the rapper’s interview on “Nightline” from airing last week but were ultimately unsuccessful, sources told the Daily News.
