Jorge Luis Villanueva Anticona

Police in Peru, were called after the body of a man was seen lying in mud.

Officers who arrived on the scene, pulled him out of the Mashcon river and were shocked when the “corpse” suddenly woke up.

Police said that when 25-year-old Jorge Luis Villanueva Anticona woke up and saw officers around him, he said: “I did not do anything.”

Police officers washed the mud off Anticona with a hose before they placed him in the back of a flatbed truck so he can be transported to a hospital.

Anticona told police that he was visiting Cajamarca, to celebrate a relative’s birthday. He had some drinks and he became intoxicated.

He somehow wandered away from the party and he got stuck in the mud. Anticona said that he tried to free himself, but was unable to do so.

He later got tired and went to sleep in the mud. Thankfully, he was unhurt.
