Cat plants syringes in girls’ candy bags

Syringe found in candy bag

Police launched an investigation after several girls found syringes in their candy bags after spending the night collecting sweets, according to police in Canada.

Brandon police said that the teenage girls freaked out after finding the syringes among their candy they collected on Monday night.

According to the police investigation, the suspect behind the incidents was a family cat.

The cat apparently knocked over a box of insulin syringes, sending them pouring into a bowl of candy the family had set aside for the boys and girls in the neighborhood.

The syringes were then unintentionally collected and placed in the bags of the teenage girls. The two girls, 13 and 15 years old, found the syringes after they got home and they called the police.

Police do not believe that the family acted in a malicious manner.
