A mother was arrested on a charge of injury to a child after allegedly giving marijuana to her young daughter, according to police in Idaho.

Gooding police have arrested Kelsey Osborne, after being accused of feeding marijuana to her 3-year-old daughter who was suffering from seizures and hallucinations.

As a result of the charge, the Department of Health and Welfare took away her children, Madyson, 3, and Ryker, 2, and placed them in the custody of her former husband.

Osborne has supervised visitation rights.

The mother is very angry that the government took away her children, saying that she did what every mother would have done.

She also pointed out the marijuana is legal in many states.

However, a spokesperson for the Department of Health and Welfare noted that marijuana is illegal in the state, and even in the states where it is legal for adults, it is illegal to give drugs to children.

Osborne vowed to fight until she gets her children back, and claims that marijuana is safer than Child Protective Services.
