Several men were arrested on a charge of murder after a young girl was killed and dismembered as a sacrifice to God, according to police in India.
Assam police said that they have arrested Hanuman Bhumij, whose daughter lost a cellphone, and Ariful Ali, in connection with the death of the 4-year-old girl.
Police are still looking for Abdul Jalil, who was identified as the main suspect behind the murder. According to the police investigation, Bhumij approached Jalil and Ali, after his daughter lost her cellphone.
Jalil and Ali offered to sacrifice a young girl to God, in order to retrieve the lost phone. The three men then abducted the 4-year-old girl, and they killed her.
The girl was then dismembered as a sacrifice to God. So far, Bhumij did not find the lost cellphone.
