A father died after being stabbed by his son during an argument about eating dinner.

Police in Australia, were called to a home by neighbors who reported that a man was injured.

When police arrived to the home in Sydney, they found Stephen Chapman, 56, with many stabs wounds. He was rushed to a hospital, but he died on the way.

Police arrested the man’s 20-year-old son Daniel Chapman. According to police, Daniel stabbed his father to death during an argument over where the son should eat dinner.

The father wanted his son to join him for dinner at the table.

However, Daniel, who according to his friends “has a passion for playing video games on Xbox and PlayStation,” refused to turn off his game console to join his father at the dinner table.

The two got into an argument and the 20-year-old man stabbed his father multiple times in the upper body at their Moorebank home at around 8:40 p.m. on Sunday.

Daniel allegedly left his father to bleed to death until his mother came in and discovered what he has done. She ordered him to run to a neighbor for help and that neighbor called police.

Daniel was taken to the Liverpool Police Station, and charged with one count of murder.
