A son violently attacked his mother and threw her out of a window.
Police in California, were called to a home after neighbors heard screaming, and they then witnessed the man throwing his elderly mother out of a window to her death.
The incident took place at about 3:00 a.m. on the 7400 block of Hazeltine Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).
According to police, the woman’s 41-year-old son Fernando Vargas, pushed her out of a second story window in Van Nuys. He then jumped out of the window to continue the assault.
Fernando then stomped on his mother’s body. A neighbor who witnessed the assault, begged him to stop. However, another witness said that Fernando replied: “she was going to die anyway and it didn’t matter.”
Fernando was arrested on a charge of murder and elder abuse. He was taken to a hospital after breaking the heel of his foot. He was booked into jail after being released from the hospital.
Police said that drugs may have played a role in the domestic dispute that led to the mother’s death.
