While most people get upset when thieves break into their cars, one man said that he was very happy about it.
The man of Australia, went so far as to thank the thief for a job well done.
Tom Drury said that his uncle realized that the back door of his 1994 Mazda was not closed properly.
He went to check on his car and found that it had been broken into as it was parked in front of his home in Perth.
Drury said that the thief removed the stereo system from his car. He explained that the stereo equipment was broken.
The victim said that he was unable to listen to the radio and it did not read CDs so he was happy that it was removed.
Drury said that he tried to remove the stereo not long before it was stolen, but he was unable to do so and he gave up in frustration.
To remove it, he needed a special tool, which he did not have. “When I saw that the stereo was removed, I could not stop laughing,” Drury said.
Drury then found that the thief has left money in the front seat. He counted the money and it was a total of $22.10.
“If I could say one thing to the thief, I would say ‘thank you.’ Thank you for paying me for a service that I was going to pay someone else to do. And by the way, no refunds,” Drury said.
