A young boy suffered a head injury from a flying wine bottle while on a plane with his family from Scotland to Spain, according to police.
The incident unfolded during a three-hour Ryanair flight from Edinburgh to Alicante.
Police in Alicante, said that they have arrested several men who were drunk on the plane. Two separate groups of people were flying to a bachelor party, and they got into a fight on the plane.
At some point, someone threw a wine bottle, and it hit a 10-year-old boy in the head. The mother of the boy said that she has never experienced something like this on a plane.
A total of four passengers were removed from the plane and arrested after they drank a lot of alcohol and were extremely intoxicated.
Police said that the suspects changed clothes in order to confuse the flight attendants, but they managed to detain the culprits.
Passengers on the plane told police that the fight broke out after someone made fun of a man’s ponytail and his girlfriend became angry.
