Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt’s children are in therapy to cope with ‘tragic’ divorce

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s six children are undergoing therapy as their parents messy divorce plays out.

Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and 8-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox have since entered counseling to cope with the famous couple’s split, People reported.

“It’s been a traumatic situation,” a source close to the family told the gossip magazine.

On Tuesday, it was reported that Jolie had picked up and left her previous home in Malibu and moved the kids to a rental mansion in Hidden Hills, Ca.

“They didn’t leave the rental house for days. It was hard for all of them. They are used to more activities and more entertainment so it’s difficult for them to just stay at the house,” the insider said, adding that the younger children “don’t understand what’s going on.”

Jolie, 41, filed for divorce from Pitt, 52, on Sept. 19 and on Sept. 30 she and the “Fight Club” actor agreed to a temporary custody arrangement granting Jolie full custody and permitting Pitt visitation with a therapist present for the first meeting.

The temporary terms end on Oct. 20 when Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS) will make new recommendations.

Jolie and Pitt will also attend counseling as part of the agreement and the “World War Z” star has agreed to voluntary drug and alcohol testing.

The “Maleficent” star filed for divorce citing “irreconcilable differences.”
