A family in Russia, is devastated after learning that their fun-loving daughter fell to her death while taking a selfie.
The 12-year-old girl told her mother that she was going to meet her friends.
However, they later got a call from police in Perm, informing them that their daughter was found dead.
Police soon learned that the 12-year-old girl, who was identified as Oksana B., sent a selfie to her friend from a dangerous position just moment before she fell to her death.
Oksana went up to rooftop balcony of a building, where she climbed over a ledge of the 17th floor “to take a cool selfie.”
She managed to send the photo to her friend before she slipped and fell to the ground.
The friend, who received the selfie, told police that she was very concerned over the pose that looked very dangerous.
She said that she tried to call Oksana, but she did not pick up her phone. The friend then sent the selfie to Oksana’s mother.
Meanwhile, police were called when passersby found a body lying on the ground. Police called the girl’s mother to inform her of her daughter’s death.
Oskana’s uncle wrote on social media that she was a friendly girl who had no problems at school. The girl took dance and English classes.
“She had so much to live for and now she has lost her life to the craze of looking to do extreme selfies for social media,” he added.
