Police in Missouri, were called to a senior center to arrest an elderly woman.
When the St. Louis Metropolitan police officers arrived at the Five Star Senior Center, they placed the woman in handcuffs.
She was then taken outside and placed in the back of the patrol car, and was taken for a ride.
This was all done to fulfill the dream of 102-year-old Edie Simms.
Simms said that she has never been in the back seat of a police car and she wanted to know how it felt to sit there while in handcuffs.
St. John McLaughlin of the St. Louis Police Department said: “We are more than happy to do these types of things. We love it and we get more out of it than the seniors do.”
Simms is an active member at the senior center, she helps others and she sews items for seniors, most of whom are younger than her.
For the last two years, she has sewn more than 400 handmade items that were distributed to elderly people.
