A couple of the United Kingdom, was left humiliated after a store owner released a video, showing them stealing sweets with their children.
After the video went viral, the couple returned to the store to pay for the stolen food.
The video was uploaded to the Facebook page of Linzi Marie Cake Supplies and Confectionary in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire.
The company said that the couple stole about £25 ($32) worth of chocolates, sweets and a whole jar of lollipops.
The store owner said that she did not notice the theft until later in the afternoon when a customer asked for lollipops. She checked the shelf and saw that the container was gone.
That is when the owner said she checked the security cameras and saw the husband placing chocolate bars in his pocket and the wife placing sweets in her bra and in her pants.
The husband then grabbed the entire container of lollipops and they walked out of the store.
The store owner reported the matter to the police and posted the video to Facebook. A few days later, the husband came in and paid for the items.
The owner said that the man did not apologize for his actions, but instead “he gave a lot of excuses” about why they stole the treats.
