Motorists on a busy road in Russia, were surprised to see several topless women holding speed limit sign, according to a video that was uploaded to the Internet.
In an attempt to lower the high death rate from car accidents, a road safety group worked along with the police to use the topless women to grab the attention of drivers and slow them down.
The topless women were seen wearing black knee high boots and underwear while walking on the side of the road. When a speeding car approached them, they shook their bodies to grab the attention of the driver.
The road safety group said that the campaign seems to be working at least in Severny, as drivers are no longer speeding and the car accident death rate has dropped.
Surprisingly, there were no reports of accidents caused by the distracted drivers.
Pedestrians seem to be happy seeing the topless women as they can now cross the road without fear of being run over by speeding drivers.
The Avto Dvizheniya road safety group hopes to reduce the 30,000 deaths per year caused by car accidents.
One male driver commented that it was wonderful and amazing to see the topless women, and for once, he did look at the speed limit signs.
He said that he would like to see this campaign on other roads as well.
