Solange Knowles is speaking her mind about being black in a “white space” after a group of women nearly ruined a concert for her on Friday night.
The 30-year-old younger sister of Beyoncé went on a Twitter rant Friday after she was told by four white women to sit down while at a Kraftwerk concert in New Orleans with her family.
“Let me tell you about why black girls / women are so angry,” she started her remarks.
Solange went on to explain that she was enjoying the electronic dance show with her husband, Alan Ferguson, her 11-year-old son and his friend when the ladies yelled, “sit down now” and proceeded to throw something at her.

Her son later told her that it was a lime that was chucked at her back.
“In this moment, I’m just going to share my experience … So that maybe someone will understand, why many of us don’t feel safe in many white spaces,” she continued, adding that her family made up just four of 20 black concert goers in the predominantly white audience.
Solange added that black women “don’t bring the drama,” seemingly referencing something that was said during the show.
She ended her rant noting that she would go back to enjoying the show and dancing along to her favorite jams.
“Now back to me & my husbands favorite song ‘Autobahn'” she wrote. “& not giving a f— about you lovely ladies so mad this lil black girl having fun.”
