Man spends night with hand stuck in squat toilet after trying to rescue dropped cell phone

One Chinese guy had a seriously crappy night after dropping his cellphone down a squat toilet inside his own home.

At 6:40 a.m. on Wednesday morning, firefighters in Huizhou city, Guangdong province received a report about a resident trapped in a bathroom, Guangzhou Daily reports. A team was quickly dispatched to the area where they broke into the home and found a man laying on the bathroom floor with one hand stuck inside his toilet.

You’re not going to believe this, but alcohol was involved.

The man later told firefighters that he had had a little to drink before stepping into the bathroom at around 2 a.m. in the morning. Inside, he carelessly dropped his phone down the hole. In a moment of desperation, he reached down to try to fish it out… and quickly became stuck.

To make things even worse, the man lived alone, meaning that no one heard his desperate cries for help. He was forced to spend the night face down on his bathroom floor with his hand stuck in the crapper.

Fortunately, after 5 a.m., a neighbor finally heard him, but it took another hour for them to figure out what was going on and call for help. Firefighters found that the man’s hand had swollen up in size and were forced to break open the toilet to get him out.
