Mitchell Green and Kaydee Gosper

A couple is lucky to be alive after the helicopter they were traveling in crashed.

Mitchell Green and Kaydee Gosper from Sydney, Australia, were on a trip in New Zealand, where they went on the helicopter.

Green had planned an elaborate marriage proposal for when they got out of the helicopter. However, they never made it to the destination as the helicopter crashed at Mount Sale near Queenstown.

Green, who suffered leg injuries, decided to continue with his marriage proposal plans at the crash site.

As soon as they were pulled from the wreckage of the helicopter, Green wrapped his arm around his girlfriend for support as he hobbled away from the destroyed craft.

He then proposed marriage to Gosper, and she said “yes.”

Green was then taken to Southland Hospital, where he had surgery to treat his injured leg.
