Gynecologist arrested for inappropriately touching woman following examination

A gynecologist was arrested on a charge of offensive touching after allegedly inappropriately touching a woman following an examination, according to police in New Jersey.

Brick Township Police Chief James Riccio today announced the arrest of Dr. Alfred B. Parchment, 53, of Toms River.

The arrest on Tuesday, stems from an investigation by Ocean County Prosecutors Special Victims Unit Det. Alex Bromley and Brick Township Police Department Det. Dan Waleski, alleging that Parchment inappropriately touched a female patient.

The incident unfolded following the conclusion of a medical examination at the Brick Women’s Physicians, Obstetrics and Gynecology, which is located at 1140 Burnt Tavern Road.

The New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners was notified of the charge. Parchment no longer works at the Brick Women’s Physicians, Obstetrics and Gynecology.
